Cedars CanSupport is a program at the McGill University Health Centre under the Cancer Care Mission’s Supportive and Palliative Care Division. In collaboration with the healthcare team, we provide complementary support alongside conventional treatment to improve the quality of life of patients and families.
We are a team of professional staff and volunteers. We provide free emotional support, educational services, complementary therapies and practical resources.
Mission and values
Cedars CanSupport provides free humanitarian support to cancer patients and their families at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). We are committed to offering compassionate care and understanding and to enrich the lives of those in need from their time of diagnosis and treatment, through post-treatment, and, when necessary, end of life.
Cedars CanSupport operates in accordance with the highest standards in all relationships with patients, families, health team members, hospital administration and employees. It fosters an environment which encourages support, respect and recognition of its staff and volunteers. Cedars CanSupport is committed to good governance, confidentiality and discretion of the patient and family.
